Marketplace role
Platform, not the haulage carrier
Houlvek does not collect, hold or settle the underlying transport payment for a load.
Account and privileged access
Houlvek uses authenticated account sessions and server-side role checks for protected workflows. Privileged Admin routes verify authority against the database rather than trusting browser-supplied role information, and suspended privileged accounts are denied access. Security-sensitive routes also use rate limiting and operational event monitoring.
Private verification documents
Verification documents are handled through controlled private storage workflows. Authorised document previews use short-lived signed URLs rather than making the underlying storage public. Houlvek applies access controls around verification, renewal and Admin review workflows.
Web and transport security
Houlvek production responses use HTTPS security controls including HTTP Strict Transport Security, content-type protections, referrer controls, framing protections and browser permissions restrictions. The application also maintains a Content Security Policy reporting boundary so unexpected browser-resource activity can be observed and hardened without silently breaking legitimate HGV, payment or mapping workflows.
Subscription payments and VAT
Paid Houlvek plans use secure third-party subscription checkout. Houlvek subscription charges are separate from the commercial payment for an HGV load between the company or shipper and the carrier. Paid-plan prices are shown before VAT and the applicable tax position is handled at secure checkout. Live billing is designed to fail closed if the required tax configuration is not ready.
Privacy and user controls
Houlvek documents the categories of personal data it processes, the purposes and lawful bases, recipient categories, international transfer safeguards, retention principles and UK data-protection rights in the Privacy Policy. Eligible signed-in users also have account data-export and account-closure controls.
Marketplace verification boundaries
Houlvek may request identity, licence, insurance and operational documents to support marketplace trust. Verification supports risk reduction but does not transfer a carrier's, driver's or company's legal, safety, insurance, tax or contractual responsibilities to Houlvek. Users remain responsible for their own commercial and transport decisions.

No invented badges or certifications.
Houlvek publishes controls and registrations only when they can be supported by the live service or official records. We do not claim security certifications, regulatory registrations or independent audits before they have actually been completed.
